Creamed Coconut is used extensively in Indian and Ayurvedic cooking. In indian cookery books there are countless recipes where creamed coconut is added to give a creamy taste to everything from curries to thickening of sauces. The coconut flesh is grated, dried and then specially milled until the pulp begins to flow.
