Ayurveda Pflanzen-Heilkunde (Ayurveda Herbal Medicine)
The fundamentals of Ayurvedic herbal medicine with recipes, diagnostic methods, and detailed instructions
Ayurveda addresses every aspect of human life, offering a path to greater harmony, peace, and longevity that has been tested and refined over many centuries. Ayurveda helps the healthy maintain their health and the sick to regain it. This book presents Ayurvedic herbal medicine not as an exotic system, but as one that is practicable here and now.
Description
Vasant Lad and David Frawley have extensive experience. For the first time, they have made the principles of Ayurvedic herbal medicine, the 'Yoga of Herbs', come alive for Westerners. Ayurveda captures the inherent energies of plants and assigns them to individual human 'constitutions'.
This book provides the reader with a tool that ranges from understanding a condition to diagnostic methods, detailed instructions for prescriptions, and the use of plants. It is astonishing how easy it is to build an Ayurvedic home pharmacy. Ayurveda views health and disease from a holistic perspective, which includes the relationship between the individual and cosmic consciousness, energy, and matter.
